Air Abrasion Painless Tooth Preparation

Do you have fear associated with the dental drill?  Often people associate the high-pitched sound of a dental drill with pain. Dr. Yemoto uses a technology in his San Jose dental office called air abrasion. Air abrasion uses powerful particles of aluminum oxide to remove debris and decay to often replace the need for the traditional dental drill. The most exciting thing for patients is that air abrasion not only replaces the drill, but it is painless and, in some cases, doesn’t require an anesthetic.

Dr. Yemoto uses Ozone Disinfection as a chemical-free way to sanitize and disinfect.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-ray imaging is a form of radiography by which digital sensors are used instead of traditional X-ray film. The advantages include time efficiency, by avoiding chemical processing, and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Less radiation exposure is also required to produce each image. Digital X-rays provides the office with the advantage of immediate X-ray preview. This enhances Dr. Yemoto’s ability to diagnose and offer each of his patients the best treatment possible.
